I leave tonight and will be there till after the super bowl. Anyone have recommendations of a place I should watch at.

I know most of the casinos sports books will probably be more than good for my needs. But was curious if there is some big party or something out there I have not heard about yet.

Virtually every casino that has a sports book will be having a big party connected with the Super Bowl.

Avoid ESPNZone like the plague on gameday- it is over-rated and over-priced, even by Vegas standards. Plus they run out of 75% of their menu on game days, apparently those Sunday NFL crowds really sneak up on them.

My favorite place to hang out, have a few drinks/food and watch a game is a mexican place in NYNY right by ESPNZone, called Gonzalez Y Gonzalez. It's also close to the NYNY sports book so you can head there right after placing your bet.

I always avoided the entire strip like the plague due to the congestion.

The off-strip casinos tend to have the best deals. You might check out the Green Valley Ranch or one of the other Station Casinos.

Holy crap, that's way longer than I could be in Vegas. Three or four days at a time, tops! I hope you have a great time, though - Caeser's has a great sports book.

Bally's has a good sportsbook as well. It's pretty big and has a bar attached to it. If you bet on the ponies (if any ponies are even running during the game) during the game you can get free drinks. That's where I go for March Madness. It's great because they have a ton of Big screen TV's.

Well I don't get to vegas till 10pm tonight and the convention I am attending is all day for 3 days. I figured I would not be up for much gambling those days(I am probably wrong)
So I am staying a few more after the convention just for gambling. Then off to phoenix for another 5 days.

I might just go downtown for the super bowl. I imagine after being on the strip gambling the first bunch of days I will need lower stakes lol.

IMO your much better off spending most of your time downtown. We just got back and the strip is under ALOT of construction. Plus it has been 10 years since I have been there and I can't believe the prices on the strip now. $21.99 for buffets now? We stayed at Harrahs and went into Toby Keiths bar and payed $60 for 2 buckets of beer. $6/beer. I suggest asking the locals where would be the best place to watch the game.
