I'm extremely positive about the direction of MBB and FB at ISU. I do think that getting a bowl game would be crazy important for a lot of reasons
-more practice for RS players, QBs to get reps in the system and expand the playbook, and all the young players that will start on D next year.
-National pub and help with recruiting
-Payoff for the fanbase for sticking with some poor years
-Giving the seniors rewards for sticking as Cyclones over coaching changes
Those are a few of the BIGTIME obvious reasons we need to make a bowl.
MBB appears to have turned the corner with recruiting. They seem to be finding the ability to play at different tempos other than slow it down half court ball. We are finally getting guys into the system longer than 1-2 years.
Getting HB could only add tremendous exposure and talent for our team. It can only help Coach Mac bring in other bigname players once they see that HB wanted to be a Clone.
So much is up for grabs this weekend. In the past bad things have happened to ISU. Not getting HB and waiting one more game to seal a .500 football record won't be the worst things that ever happened to ISU, but it would deal a blow. Add in that we play at Drake next week and this could be a huge kick to the groin over the next few days.
Im not going to worry about the giant shot between the legs, and Im not getting the ice bag out quite yet. It is time for good things to happen.
Dr. Phil should do an episode about ISU fans having failure/disappointment in their minds at all times.
