Free concessions at football games

I wonder who is bankrolling this. Or did they just raise ticket prices by $50 each to cover it?

Those are the 4 cheapest things in a concession stand. They will still have premium items outside of it like beer to turn a profit. They’ll sell way more tickets as well and potentially create lifetime fans

I mean hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and soda are dirt cheap to supply. The strategy is people will spend money on tickets, premium food options and beer. They probably think it will net more in the long term.

I don’t know how the Savannah bananas do it. The cost of a ticket to Grayson Stadium is $35 no fees, no taxes, no parking fee
Base concessions Soda Water Popcorn cookies, chips, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches all free.
We arrived early for a game and the have a party in the pavilion. Before the game even started my family of 5 had loaded up on concessions.

All of the premium concession and beer stands have constant lines throughout the preshow and game. Not to mention the way their gift shop and satellite souvenir stands are flooded with folks throughout the whole process, even before they open the gates.

Maybe I’m in the minority but when I stumble into the game from our tailgate spot, I definitely do not need anything else to eat or drink.

You'd have to eat a lot to really impact against the $175 total you spent. Did you buy any merchandise?
