I was hoping Bibbs would be the number two TE in Cleveland, but he looks like he is down the depth chart right now. I know the Browns were really high on him, but maybe the new staff doesn't have the same feeling. If the Browns are not going to use him, I hope he can go elsewhere.

Again, he is temporarily benefiting from injury and suspension on the Cowboys roster. DE is currently perhaps the weakest position on the Cowboys defense. Irving had to be moved there from DT specifically because of the situation. Once the injuries and suspensions are over he will be going back to the bench and will again be a situational player at best.

Wrong. Irving was told he would be moving to DE and competing for a starting spot during exit interviews last season, before anybody was suspended. Nobody on the 2 deep at DE is hurt so I don't know why you keep talking about injuries. You can choose to believe your own conclusions if you want. I'm telling you info I got directly from Cowboys personnel.

How crazy would it be to see Coe and Irving playing for the Cowboys this year?

They lined up next to each other for a few snaps against the Rams. Definitely fun to watch. There's another former defensive lineman that is well on his way to playing in the NFL next year, if anyone remembers Collin Bevins. He's the best lineman in D2 and has a legit shot at being drafted. It's crazy how talented the dline could have been here if they all stayed.

You mean this guy that they expected to start that was signed in a 3 year $8 million deal that had knee surgery?

So, there is the injured DE. Now, are you going to also dispute DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory, both starting DE's from last year that are suspended for 4 and 10 games respectively?

Seriously, Its great that a former Cyclone might have a shot to start, but lets not exaggerate and make it seem as if he beat out everyone and earned a starting role. It just isn't factually true. And Oh, by the way, I think your source from "Cowboys Personnel" is bogus.

Mayowa and Gregory have ALWAYS played exclusively on the right, Irving has ALWAYS played only on the left. Lawrence was also moved to the right this this camp. None of those 3 guys you've mentioned even competes with Irving. This isn't Madden where you just put any 2 DE's on the left or right. There are big differences in what the RDE does and LDE does in Marinelli's scheme. Congrats on showing how little you know about Cowboys football. I'm done here.

Hmm.....thought you said Irving ALWAYS plays of the left? Then why is the updated depth chart from today from Our Lads in the attached link show Irving and Mayowa both on the right side? It has been well documented Mayowa is recovering from knee surgery and is working his way back up the depth chart. Once he gets a few more reps under his belt he will likely surpass Irving on the depth chart even before suspensions of Gregory and Lawerence are completed. They are paying Mayowa $8 million. They didn't sign him to sit.

I will say it again, Irivng still won't be a starter after the suspensions are over and injured players recover. Also, of course they told Irving in his player review he would have a chance to earn a starting spot. It's called a motivational tactic, grasshopper.

In summary, it still great that Irving is getting an opportunity, but he has not really earned a starting role yet. He is a benefactor of circumstance.

Lastly, I don't play Madden. I do however support my posts with facts unlike your statements that cannot be verified.

Randy Gregory was not a startng DE for Dallas last year. This was another high risk draft selection by Dallas that might bust out.

Irving may not start for Dallas, but by all accounts they really like his ability and when he got a chance to play at the end of the 2015 season, he played well. So, with a little more experience and learning system, he could very well start. Their DC likes to rotate DL based on situation, so even if he doesn't start, he could earn decent snaps.

Gregory got hurt way early last season. Believe it was an ankle. It kept him out most of the season. Was never healthy after that. And yes, Gregory is a risk reward type player that could likely wash out. However, he will probably be okay considering the Cowboys, drafted Collins from Nebraska where he was a DT on the same starting line. It was reported that Collins is also a close friend of Gregory and happens to be a mature positive influence on the troubled young man. A lot still can happen positive or negative for Gregory but the Cowboys need that one to work out.

Also, Totally agree that Irving is viewed favorably by the staff and has some long term potential with the team and do believe he will be a strong rotational player this year. Was just pointing out that Irving is not yet anointed as the next Too Tall Jones. The Cowboys deliberately paid a large sum of money to Mayowa to the tune of over $8 million+. For Irving to supplant that and become the starter he is going to have to show exceptional growth. Mayowa , if he can get healthy, is a player the Cowboys are banking on, literally.

Watched first half of the Vikings game today. No Bykowski sightings by me, other than I caught a glimpse of him on the sidelines not looking too happy. Hope he gets some reps in the 3Q. Probably wishful thinking, but do you suppose they are happy with him as a backup, and just want to be careful bringing him back from his injury?

Watched what I could of AZ @ Houston . Bundrage was tageted once by Brandon Weeden. He bobbled it and it was intercepted. That was his only stat. Lenz had no stats, although I spotted him once looking forelorn on the sideline. Guessing its hope for the practice squad for these guys.
