I don't know that we've made up ground yet. Things are improving at ISU, but when you look around at the other schools, they are making improvements at an even faster pace. If fans don't step up and support Iowa State at a higher level, that gap will widen.
It wasn't too many years ago, despite all the fuss about our small budget, that the bottom 7 teams were grouped fairly close together. A million or two would have caused ISU to leap over a number of those in front of us. But the last time I looked, the gap was wider.
I wonder what the lack of revenue from not owning Hilton has to do with it, but at the very least it impacts our image when we compare to the other schools and Iowa.
