I like to think about what the conversation was like the first time someone tried these foods.

“Hey I found this wheel of cheese down in the cellar. It’s been sitting there for months and now has all this blue stuff in it. It smells terrible so I’m going to toss it.”

“Oh yeah that sounds awful. Alternatively, what if we ate it instead?”

I'm pretty open to most foods, but I can't do canned tuna. We fed it to our cats growing up as a special treat, and it makes me think of cat food. Meanwhile, I also don't love the texture of refried beans. Too mushy while also gritty, and they look wholly unappetizing.

TOMATOES!!!!!!:puke::puke:
Couldn't agree more, I wish so bad that I liked them and even try a garden picked one every year but still no luck. Still holding out hope that I will like them someday.

And don't get me started on the people that ask me if I like spaghetti sauce or ketchup! Yes I like those things and no they taste nothing like a tomato

Drown one in olive oil with a little salt and pepper. That's how I started liking them, didn't like them growing up.

R & R: rice and raisins with milk/white sauce. Mom made when I was young. Slimy and disgusting

Circling back to pot roast: If you don't like roast in general, understandable. If the aversion is to mixture of roast w/ potatoes/carrots/vegetables, do the roast separately, and prep separate carttos (I have a reliable glazed carrots recipe) and could roast the potatoes (oven or perhaps grilled) or just do mashed.

Less convenient than the full mix, such as for slow-cooker, but might help, and keeps the gravy/meatness away from vegetables/sides.

Refried beans mixed with rice are a gift from the heavens.
