Yes.
Whereas he who was originally offered by ISU could be playing on the court while on scholarship rather than wasting away on the bench while taking up a scholarship so as to satisfy transfer requirements that could have been avoided in the first place? OK.
You laugh about scholarships being used for ineligible players? Hrmm. OK.
I don't. The kid didn't want to play for Alford anymore, so we're playing second fiddle to him and bending over backwards for him? He wants to stay near family. Whats the best option for him once leaving Iowa? Should he go play for DMACC? No, he wants to play at ISU because its close to home and still Division I.
I know these transfers happen all the time. I know that universities do this same thing all the time, but I also believe that there are extenuating circumstances that have to be looked at in certain cases. Is this kid good enough to warrant the use of a scholarship on him when he isn't even able to play? Not in my opinion. My feeling is that he should earn it and show that he is dedicated to the university, and not only the coach, other players, and the athletic department before being awarded the schollie.

Everybody makes mistakes. Hes a kid, come'on, give him a break. i think the fact that he actually transfered is test enough of how loyal he is. The only reason he didnt come to ISU in the first place is because of instability in the program following the Eustachy incident.
I think people will be pleasntly surprised by AT when he is finally ready to play.
