Just because everyone seems to have their favorite... who is your favorite Cyclones MBB player? And why?

(I'm only going to include the main players in the poll, but let me know if you'd like it edited.)

Clark. Work ethic and commitment.

We are also going to be sorely missing that on-the-ball defense about this time next year, unless someone else steps up...

I went Wesley.

I went Brackins just to say thanks to a big-time recruit for signing with ISU. He obviously has loads of potential and could have played at a lot of different places.

Clark has stuck with the program and Wesley has been such a pleasant surprise. If I could have voted for three, those would be my three.

Rashon, he plays better D than about anyone I have ever seen.

Those were the three amongst whom I had a really hard time deciding, as well. Brackins has huge potential, and Rahshon is just awesome (especially defensively). I had to go Wesley because it was made very clear the last several games how much we miss him when he's gone.

Plus, you are in love with him! :wubclub:

At this point I have to go with Clark in his senior year. There isn't anyone else who deserves to have a better season, so that was my basis for voting.

I have to go with Clark, but it has nothing to do with what he's done on the court.

When Wayne Morgan left, it would have been very easy for Rahshon to leave Iowa State for a different school. He could have gone to one with a style more suited to his athleticism, one closer to home, or one where he knew some more faces. He could have transferred with one of his teammates, even.

When the decision time came, he stayed. Pure and simple. Rahshon put his school on top, he put the team ahead of himself. He stayed when others fled. It seems that Rahshon puts more value in the name on the front of the jersey than the one on the back. When Rahshon was asked to be the primary defender, he stepped up because his team needed it. When he was forced to take a reduced offensive role because of it, he never once complained in an interview about not getting the ball. The guy is a team player.

Rahshon Clark will probably be the highlight of my time here at Iowa State, ahead of Stinson, Blalock, Homan, Wesley, and Brackins. While his highlight reel jams have got me pumped for Cyclone Basketball on many occasion, his dedication to his team is what puts him on top for me. To me, Rahshon is truly a Cyclone.

I have to go with Jiri. The change in his game from the beginning of last year to the end of last year was phenominal. I like his energy and his emotion that he shows when he's really into the game. I'm a little sad that he has gone backwards a little this year, but I think he's beginning to pick up again as he gets more familiar with his 'new' team.

I was feeling a little bad for Jiri. I think some of what sodakjoe about loyalty should be extended to him, too (although he obviously didn't buy in as quickly as Rahshon did last year!).
