I am playing fantasy football this year, and don't play a lot. What is the best website or Publication to study before draft? Any advice appreciated.

You'll want to know the scoring format before you print out a list.. A quick tip, draft best available player for the first few rounds..

back in the day thetalentedmrroto.com was the place to go. unfortunately I think its a pay site now and the expert works for ESPN

I like some of the stuff in the fantasy sections of Yahoo & CBSsportline

the magazines largely suck as they're usually a month or more behind by the time you use them

I would recommend buying 2 or 3 different magazines. That way you get a nice array of potential sleepers, and you can also find the players that all 3 magazines really like or think will perform well. I would strongly recommend staying away from CBS if you go the internet route. I am in a couple of dynasty leagues run through their website, and it's a great site for your league, but their advice is often terrible. I usually pick up the Sporting News, ESPN, and Fantasy Football Index magazines personally.

Yahoo has some pretty good downloadable pdf's. they give somegood info that you don't get with most top 100 lists.

espn.com and nfl.com...by the time you draft most magazines are out of date. I think yahoo fantasy football sucks.

Been doing fantasy for 15 years or so, baseball and football. 1 tip, stay away from magazines. They are good to look at when they first come out in June, but after that they are useless. Most go into production in April/May, a good 3-4 months before camps start. Most magazines are $6.99, for $15 you can subscribe to a website that is up to date all preseason and gives you advice throughout the year.

Some suggestions:

Fantasy Fooball Guru.com
The Huddle
Fantasy Football Today

footballguys.com has a good site. Some content is free and some needs a subscription. They also now run site called Today in Fantasywhere they aggregate fantasy info from multiple sites. They call it the "google" of Fantasy Football.

I'd recommend NOT using a magazine for your cheat sheet, as someone else mentioned they're published months before the season and are way out of date by the time you draft. Some of the magazines do offer links to updated cheat sheets though.

Lastly, be sure to know your scoring system it makes a HUGE difference in your draft strategy.
