Well, the time is past. We can now get facebook usernames. Did anyone else jump in right when it opened?

I won't participate in this. I don't think I want people linking my real name with my persona on the internet.
What I heard is that the username you pick will be your username FOREVER. Part of the reason I'm not gonna do this.
Yeah, that is true. I think a lot of people may just stick with the number. It really doesn't affect much either way.
That's ok. I'm going to be a Cyclone fan FOREVER. But it would change my thought process if I was going to drop some gloss on myself like ***** hound '88.

sounds like the only thing the username does is change the random numbers in your url to something you pick... their example is like this:
the person from facebook who posted this is blaise dipersia, hence the personalization after the www.facebook.com

I was about to bring up some quote from a loooooooooooong time ago about how you are only allowed to use a real name for your facebook account, etc etc etc, and how this is a complete change from that
