I never said that those who carried out the 9/11 attacks represented all of Islam. Don't misconstrue my words or associate me with that.
Edit: Didn't even mention 9/11 or Islam at all actually.
Read the news, study recent history? you can probably change it to 1 for every 2,000,000.....
I was thinking about the crime investigation piece last night. Think of all the evidence they'll process. Even at the hospital, I'm sure shrapnel and such would be logged based on who it came from, where they were standing, etc.
Sad stuff. I watched the presser last night from the doctor. I thought he did a good job. As te press hounded him, he basically said, "It's been a busy day, but this is my job."
That's Bigfoot! They had bomb sniffing dogs at an open course race where 1,000s of people were packed together and people are wondering why? Seriously? And from all accounts, the bomber(s) dropped them into trashcans a few minutes before the explosions so obviously the dogs wouldn't have had time to find them.
I find the conspiracy theorists pathetic. Do you have nothing better to do? Just like the "Man on the roof" conspiracies going all over twitter and the internet:

There are hundreds of logical explanations why a man would be on the roof of a building yet people are freaking out that this is the bomber!

Heard someone on the train home today say it is "very suspicious" that there was so much video footage instantly available and that this points to some sort of government initiated conspiracy...he was dead serious...serious that it was odd that the most famous race in the world had its finish line captured on video. In some way listening to him made me feel even more hopeless than the tragedy itself.
Did anyone else watch the special report on NBC? Did you feel like the reporters were just begging for one of the doctors to say the line "the injuries were like a warzone?"I was thinking about the crime investigation piece last night. I was watching a press conference with a surgeon from one of the area hospitals who had operated on several of the victims. One of the interviewers asked something to the effect of "Did you find that you were better prepared to deal with this particular situation because all the doctors at this hospital were trained by Israeli special forces?" The doctor just looked at him and said, "I was not trained by Israeli special forces." I have no idea who asked the question, but between him and the guy who kept shouting "false flag" in the police press conference, I have no idea how these officials restrain themselves and keep from calling out people as ****-ing idiots.

One last thing....I get frustrated when on Facebook a lot. I think, 20 years ago, people just talked with friends/coworkers, they didn't feel they needed to have a "take" on things.
Anyway, my pet peeve is when people attach themselves to tragedy. I know some do it to "cope," but I had one friend post, "As a Patriots fan and someone who does 5k and 10k races..." and another who'd changed their profile picture to their 2001 Chicago Marathon medal with "As a fellow marathoner, I can't imagine having the race taken way from me so brutally."
REALLY!?!?!?!
It did get me thinking though, think of someone who ran the race and finished maybe 45 minutes before that...in their cab on the way to their hotel and posting something like, "Overall good race, except I have a KILLER blister" and how much of *** they'd feel like later in the day.
