Totally forgot Mt Joy is gonna be there. I can’t make it but salt in the wounds there. Damn it.

Used to be such a cool festival until all the Kardashian wannabes caught wind and ended up swamping it as nothing more than a place to be seen for social media posts with their stupid outfits and headbands and gladiator sandals and ignorance about the actual music happening.

Yes, I'm bitter.

Is the music also too loud?

Well no that's the point. Went the first several years because the music was loud and you could see the stage and most everyone there was there for the music. Completely different now. You try finding a good spot and before long it's just neverending lines of idiots walking by and taking selfies pretending they're at Coachella with zero clue or interest about the music.

We went a few years back when Tyler Childers was headlining. We showed up at something like 10:30 and ended up having to sit all the way back by the food trucks. The music wasn’t even audible. We tried moving closer but the only spot we found was right behind that dumb pathway that cuts right through the middle which was a constant stream of people.

My wife was ready to go by mid afternoon but we stayed until Childers was done. I knew probably 30+ songs of his word for word and he played maybe 2 of them.

All in all, it sucked. We had to choose between no view and somewhat audible or views and not audible.

2017 we had 2 blankets laid out under the Oak on Friday night for Alt J, it was amazing. One of the best musical experiences I've had. Clear, unobstructed view of the stage, great crowd but not overflowing, it was awesome. Every year after that it just got more and more crowded with young idiots.

Nothing will beat getting to hang with Kacey Musgraves and her band as well as Hozier backstage in 2019 for me.

There was a some big event happening at about mile marker 52 right off I-35. We drove by there at 6:30. Cars were backed up on interstate waiting to exit. Anyone know what was going on?

A little bit of overreaction there.

Took maybe 30-45 to park once in line to enter parking, and 45 to exit.

Water situation wasn’t terrible if you just walked around and bathroom/beer access was easy.

Last night was hozier and Orville peck, I imagine with the most notable act is vampire weekend so not expecting the same level of crowds.

Sunday on the other hand..Noah Kahan and Mt Joy will bring a crowd, but Chappel Roan is the hottest act right now and will bring zoomers. It will be a cluster for sure.
