.Game not on ABC = No game day

I think its Paul Rhoads, our OSU win, 3-0 Start and our Scoreboard thats making the top 5.

Key = Just keep winning...it will happen.

college gameday has as much a chance of happening as the SEZ becoming a reality.

You'd think if this game was really big enough to attract gameday there'd be an effort to get it on a higher profile network than FCS.

The chances of Gameday being in Ames this season are zero even if we go undefeated. Even going undefeated there are only two games that would even get considered:

A 5-0 ISU vs. a 5-0 K-State on Oct 13th. Gameday would go to Texas-Oklahoma instead if they went Big XII.

An 11-0 ISU vs a 10-0 West Virginia on Nov. 23rd. This actually would probably get Gameday, but it is a Friday game. Gameday is Saturday.

That's not really true. ESPN had gameday at the LSU/Alabama last year and that game was on CBS.

It wouldn't be in Ames, but I could see Gameday doing ISU-OSU if we are 6-0, 4-1 respectively. There would be some level of national interest there due to the revenge factor of the game. Obviously there's stuff like K-State vs. WVU, SC vs. Florida that would be more likely, but I think we'd have a shot.

There is no way this is happening but if ESPN does select TTU/ISU, I would have to imagine that they could easily purchase the TV rights from FOX for cheap and broadcast it regionally on either ESPN or ESPN2.

I guess I could see them going to Ames on the 13th for something different instead of going to the Texas/Ou game especially if KSU is undefeated because OU would then have a loss. If Texas and OU are both undefeated then that one would be really tough to beat.

False. If we are ranked vs OU we could have a chance there.

I would guess that is what would happen in that scenario.

I think you are missing the opportunity for 7-0 Oklahoma coming to Ames against 8-0 Iowa State on Nov. 3.

That's actually a pretty weak slate of games that week. We wouldn't have to be undefeated even since OU is a perennial powerhouse.

Biggest game that week is USC-Oregon. TCU at WVU is another one, but I think a ranked ISU playing OU trumps that assuming OU is in the national title hunt.

This is all of course assuming ISU plays well enough to get ranked that deep into the season, which is unlikely (but possible).

I don't think you beat out USC-Oregon unless one of those teams fall off a cliff or they've already been to that campus.

What am I missing on the ESPN TV schedule? Are there any evening/night games on ESPN next weekend?

If by some stroke of fantastic luck, ESPN does pick up TTU-ISU for GameDay, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be a nationally televised game on ESPN. What am I missing here?

2012 NCAA Division I-A NCAA Football Scores and Schedules for Week 5 - ESPN

Are they waiting on those TBA times and putting one on at 7:00? Because they have literally nothing scheduled at 7:00 on ESPN on Saturday night.

Maybe they don't want to run a game against the primetime ABC game? That could be a reason. Although they are running a game this Saturday at the same time as ABC.

That's where you have to get a little lucky. They have been to the USC/Oregon/Stanford games soooo many times though. They are there every year at least once.

Didn't they go to Baylor last year and make a big deal about it being the first time they were there?

Maybe ESPN is obligated to have a Big 12 game in primetime due to Longhorn Network having a non Big 12 game on that network...

Week slate of games that week??? Alabama vs LSU is that week. No way in hell does Ames even get a sniff from ESPN that weekend.
