Sports Center has no ISU highlights. Duke was given extensive coverage twice in the first 20 minutes. #6 and #7 highlights. Indoor golf twice. Even Iowa Nebraska game highlights. Unbelievable.

Don’t watch it.

With the recent moves by Yormark getting games moved over to CBS and TBS, we’re in all out war with ESPN.

It’s not too different from tuning in to Big Ten Network at this point, except SEC. Beyond that ESPN is all in on branding, obnoxiousness for the sake of ratings, etc. Very much the Tik Tok of sports. Shameful, pathetic stuff from a once-respectable company.

Definitely not siding with ESPN but they did show highlights at halftime of game on ESPN2. Tom Crean said good things about us.

All of you who belittle people who are looking to ESPN for coverage, whether the Big12 is tied to them or not, are missing the point.

While ESPN may be a shadow of what it once was, in terms of how they cover sports, they are still, without question, the most recognizable brand associated with the sports world. It’s ingrained. I guarantee most sports fans who don’t have a specific agenda flip to ESPN as one of their first stops when they are looking for something to watch, unless they are looking for UEFA League coverage.

CBS and TNT are great, but most don’t consider them seriously in terms of college basketball until March.

I just don’t get how you completely ignore a #3 team and act like the big 12 doesn’t exist. It becomes difficult to develop a national fan base and hurts recruiting if we never get coverage. It’s not like our games aren’t on ESPN.

It’s all apart of the plan- marginalize the Big 12 and promote the P2 narrative. They have a big enough reach and media influence that eventually the casual sports follower will think the Big 12 is on the same level as the Valley or nonexistent. That’s the only way to explain how a horrible Iowa/Nebby game gets promoted but the #3 team in the country apparently didn’t play last night. Haven’t given ESPN/Fox any clicks or tv time other than for ISU or Big 12 games since their collusion with OuT was exposed, and don’t plan on it anytime soon.

Nothing is hurting us in recruiting right now.

That argument about tv coverage is no longer relevant, IMHO.

And I actually think the ESPN app is an amazing viewing experience right now. How cool is it that you can choose 1,2,3, or 4 games, arrange them how you want, and choose what games go where on your tv?

Cmon YoutubeTv you need to do that too!

They showed Cooper Flagg dunk. It was good but nothing spectacular. I still don’t understand why he is the leading candidate for Wooden Award. He is a good looking freshman but is he the best player in college basketball? Is he a generational talent?
