Sounds like things are progressing nicely with Esa. ISU visited with him on 04/22 (assume Mann?) per Travis Hines. Lot of schools in on him, and some solid offers from High Majors. I like our position

What have you read or heard to make you "like our position"? Seems to me all the articles indicated a heavy lean toward big10 schools. Even an Iowa visit was mentioned..yuck. Would be nice to snag him.

Sorry, I should just delete this thread now. UNLV just offered him. Game Over

Its amazing how many kids they're on and offered. You would think they'd run out of schollies by now. But guess they're going to get too many one-and-dones now. Ehhh...

Surprising that he doesn't have an Ohio state offer. Doesn't sound good that the Michigan article mentions four schools that he plans on visiting and none are Iowa state. That only leaves one more official right, assuming he follows through with those other four.

I find it funny when a school recruits well suddenly or out recruits a persons favorite team (99% of people on this board: Iowa state) for a player they wanted to come to the school they root for, then accuses the school that gets the commit, of paying athletes.

In this situation ITT someone has brought up, I know its just so hard to believe a college kid would rather live in las vegas than ames. Shocking. So UNLV must be paying their recruits.

He has a picture on twitter of him and Thad Matta, too. Thought he had an offer from them, too. We need him to come visit.

I thought I read on Twitter that the meeting he had with Fred went really well. Not that it means anything. Trust in Fred.

Just because almost all of the articles about him are written by Big Ten homers it makes him sound like he won't pick any school outside of that conference. We don't know anything except that we just paid him a visit so we have to be in decent shape if he's at least giving us the time of day.

Here nor there
Ahmad would be a huge get. He is a great fit and he has really developed in the past year. I think we see why we have stopped recruiting a few other even higher ranked (at the moment) forwards- Ahmad is the top priority along with Ellenson and Diallo.

Fred has it rolling right now. He's a hot name and he runs a fun offense. Nothing would surprise me at this point. Vegas may be fun, but basketball-wise, UNLV has nothing on ISU.
