As hard as Eric Coleman plays for UNI - which I respect, I just can't stand the way he bulldozes his way into the lane and throws up an out of control shot. It seems like he holds his breath every time like he just got the ball and is about to hit the line of scrimmage.

Drives me nuts.

Efffff UNI, go Cyclones!

I am not an anti-Eric Coleman guy...but doesn't it seem as though he has played at UNI for about 6 years? I can't remember a UNI team without him!

UNI did not have a team without him, this is the first time they are worth paying attention to.

Good thing he's their 6th man this year according to Jacobsen on Cotlar this morning. That means at least 2 minutes without him:)

Who was the big man that beat Iowa in the late 80s/early 90s? Jason Reece or something? That is about the only UNI player I can remember prior to their recent successful run!

No reason to remember the Sam Weaver era! LOL! Tim Floyd loved that guy for some reason! Wasn't Sam Weaver Floyd's "assistant head coach"? I seem to remember TF saying that Sam really earned that title...wonder what he did for TF to earn it?

That has to get you excited though when you think about where Coleman started to where he is now because of G-mac, then think where Brackins started compared to him in talent.

I've wondered to myself if UNI will "fall off the map" so to speak once McD's guys are all through the system. Any thoughts?

I dunno, they still seem pretty solid to me. With Aleghbe and Egelseder, Barz, Reed for a couple years, Brown... I mean I don't know if they'll get to the tourney every year but they'll be solid. Definitly not god awful like they used to be.

I think Jacobsen can coach, but he hasn't shown he can recruit.

He was center the year they beat Mizzou in the Dance.
