Will Emily be our next standout? On a guard-filled team she comes in and is now averaging over 8 points a game in 18 minutes. She leads the team in Free throwing ~86%. Struggling on defense early but that seems to be coming around. In High School she was a dagger from 3-point land but is doing middling now. Otherwise she seems poised with her skill, drive and background to be a mainstay with Johnson, Jadda and Bree in the future. I like her game a lot which some have called "fearless."

Ya I agree. She reminds me of Tracy Gahan.

Emily will be an All-American before her Cyclone playing days are over.

Fearless is a good description. She is fun to watch because she isn't timid--we always need some players like that.

She can also knock down jumpers and can drive to the basket. Also helpful things.

Poised is a good descriptor IMHO. Add in the 4 rb and only .5 TO/game she is looking pretty darn good as a freshman.

On a team without much size her 6-0 length is a nice addition.

Watching the freshman Durr, Fernstrom and Bell has been the most interesting part of the pre-conference so far.

Except that she does not suffer from Tracy's reluctance to shoot. Coach's arm used to get tired from beating TG with a stick trying to get her to shoot.

Defense has a LOT of room for improvement - but overall - a lot to build on!!

Agreed. I've been saying the same since the first time I say video of her. She has HUGE upside.
