As I had talked about in a thread last week, I ordered one of these and now I have had it for a couple of days. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, and I think it could be something that I can switch to completely (I haven't yet).

It gives a very similar feeling to the real thing. It tastes somewhat like a cross between a light cigarette and the taste of an unlit one. The smoke that you blow out doesn't have any smell at all. The one I got came with two batteries, and they're supposed to last three days on a charge.

My family and I went up to Saylorville for the afternoon for about four hours, and I didn't feel the need to have a normal cigarette in that time, which is good for me, and tells me pretty clearly that it works. I am very hopeful that I can switch over completely, as my son really wants me to quit, and these contain only nicotine- none of the carcinogens that are in a normal cigarette.

Overall, I would definitely recommend it. I paid $193 with shipping for the cigarette and enough refills to be the equivalent of four cartons. Also, if you enter 20pct in the discount at checkout, you get 20% off.

it gives the effect of smoking. otherwise, no difference. you're holding, drawing and blowing just like a cig. the end even lights up.

I'm also assuming that it doesn't taste like *** or itch like hell. (gum and patch respectively)

Exactly. The only drawback I see so far is that you have to inhale a lot harder than you would with a normal cigarette, and that takes some getting used to.

I bought an Njoy and really like it. It's a little sweeter than a regular cigarette but a hell of a lot better than the patch.

Also, their "savings calculator" is inflated; it starts at $4.00/pack, but you can get by for less than that. She smokes about half "little cigars" ($.65/pack) and half cheap cigarettes (about $1.50/pack). She spends about $15/week on her addiction, which is less than a lot of smokers spend.

Anyway, besides the batteries, how often do you need to buy other supplies, such as the chargers and cartridges and stuff?

It seems like 1 cartridge is about 40 cigarrettes or 2 packs. The immediate cost would be more for her, but I think in the long run, she'd still be saving money. I also have to seriously wonder how in the hell you're finding 1.50 cigs anywhere. The cheapest that I've seen in the past 2 years is right around $3, and have no idea what cigarellos cost.
