I almost want to move to the Twin Cities or KC just so I can get this phone.

The word on the blogs is that it is still crazy fast when connecting via 3G or a wifi connection, just due to the raw horsepower of the device. It is also my understanding that this will be sold nationwide since it can still function without 4G, so you could still pick it up in Des Moines or wherever you happen to live.

Also, check to see if your employers offer any sort of discount (mentioned above). For example, if you work where I do and put a phone in your name you can get the same discount the company gets from Verizon. Great deal.

Just don't expect to get the discount quickly. I've been waiting almost 6 months to get my discount. Called them 5 times and finally went to the Verizon store last week. They said it should be on next month. I've heard that 6 times now.

True, but i'll always feel bad about not using it to it's capabilities.. it's like driving a Ferrari in a school zone only, ya know?

I live in the Twin Cities and have Sprint. I am paying less now for my plan (my wife & I) than I was with AT&T. On Sprint, we both have unlimited data & texting and share 1500 minutes.

On AT&T I had unlimited data, 50 texts/mo and my wife and I shared 550 minutes, she didn't have any data or texting. Also free nights and weekends begin at 7pm on Sprint, instead of 9pm with AT&T

Again we pay about $20/mo less now with a bunch of additional features than we did with AT&T.

It makes no difference to me, but you may want to at least check pricing first, if that is the deciding factor in which provider you choose.

If you do decide to go with Sprint, you should check out the EVO coming out in a month, it looks completely incredible.
