My dog has horrible allergies in the fall and nearly scratches herself to death.
Starts in mid-July to early August, but is completely cranked up right now to the point of driving her and us insane. She chews on her feet and scratches her ears/face raw.
The vet gave her a shot of depo-medrol about the first week of August and we've been popping her full of benadryl as well. Not working.
Can she get another shot? Are there other options?
We can't go with prednizone (?) as it makes her whizz every 2-3 minutes.
50 pound German Wirehaired Pointer.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. She still has some hair on her feet left (although not much).
