Does anyone park on campus and take Cy-Ride?

I don't have parking arranged for Iowa game. Wondering if this is a viable option?

I'd start with Brookside Park and work your way north if you can't find a spot. The walk isn't too bad.

Honestly you’d want to park downtown or something and take red west as opposed to on campus.
Yeah I think people park in the mall lot and take red west to Hilton area (can't remember exact stop from 10 years ago)

It's a viable option if you're parking off campus (like at West Hy-Vee or North Grand), but the closest you're going to get to the stadium via CyRide on game day is probably Lincoln Way/Beach, or Lincoln Way at Hilton -- both via #1 Red.

I've parked in a shopping mall in north Ames which worked well. Let off on Lincoln Way at Hilton and picked up at same spot after the game. It's a quicker exit out of Ames post game too compared to the tailgate area which I have had the pleasure of sitting in line for an hour creeping along.

Grandpa's old office was at the Armory. I figured if I parked there his spirit would make sure everything worked out.

What's Uber like on gameday? I plan to be pretty drunk after, obviously. I'm staying at AmericInn on S 16th Saturday night. Maybe they'll let me park there before the game. Anyone done that? Do those hotels over there shuttle people to games?

I think I ended up parking by Design or Black Engineering and walking all the way to Jack Trice the last time Iowa came to Ames. I enjoyed the exercise and pleasant stroll through campus, though.

I tried to park closer (e.g., around the East Deck) but nopeeeeeeeeeeeee zero space.

Testifying
There's like a billion parking spots at Cornerstone. They could make some good money doing a park and ride there.

Another free and walkable option is the Iowa Cattlemen building. It’s been a few years since we parked there, but it used to be our go to when my dad didn’t mind a longer walk.

That east parking ramp and adjacent lots on campus are free and close walk but fill up quick.

Before they raised the $9.00 per day at Union ramp, it was a great deal. Just walk to the lots or eat in campustown. Even last year, it was still cheaper than the lots.

Last Iowa game parked N of agronomy in the lots and walked over. Most other games were quite a bit closer
Yep, I think we wound up over by Town Engineering that game and still a very easy walk even for us old people
