Does anyone know how the upcoming digital change is going to affect dish in areas like dsm where they don't offer locals in HD?

If they can't pick up an analog signal to rebroadcast will they be forced to get the local hds going?

I for one will be happy when that happens because I am utterly sick of fighting my antennae to get a good enough signal.

Not necessarily. They can still take the local channels' digital feed and rebroadcast it in SD. That's what DirecTV did with WOI until they added HD locals last month.

KCCI/WOI/WHO send the digital signals to Directv/Dish, so there will be no changes next month.

Remember digital != HD

update: just checked my address in udale and it shows the locals avail in HD on channels 5150, 5151, 5152, and 5153

I'm not home toverify though. I do swear when I used the website to check a couple months ago those channels were not listed.
