Some good memories there. I actually had an Alf lunchbox- still do somewhere.

Unfortunately, I lived a sheltered life so I can only relate to about 10 of those.

Good times. Don't forget: jean jackets, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Madonna, hair metal, and John Hughes movies.

24. You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates.

----we used to make serious fun of the losers who would show up in those things when they first came out. You couldn't even tight roll your jeans in them!

(Sigh.) So many corrections in this list...

7. You got super-excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

Oregon Trail was awesome, but I also loved Fraction Munchers and Burgertime. Coincidentally - some friends at work checked to see if Oregon Trail was Y2K compliant by just waiting and doing meager rations through 1999. It was not.

9. You played the game 'MASH'(Mansion, Apartment, Shelter, House)

"S" was for shack, not shelter. (In retrospect, that seems a little cruel...)

13. You ever wore fluorescent clothing. (Some of us...head-to-toe)

-2 for not mentioning Hypercolor.

23. You remember 'I've fallen and I can't get up'

That was the '90's, wasn't it? I was born in '79, and I think it was later. "Where's the beef?" would work, however.

30. You remember New Kids on the Block when they were cool... and don't even flinch when people refer to them as 'NKOTB'

Jordan... yesterday, today, and always.

31. You knew all the characters names and
their life stories on 'Saved By The Bell,' The ORIGINAL class.

Worthless without a Miss Bliss reference.

32. You know all the words to Bon Jovi - SHOT THROUGH THE HEART.

The song is called "You Give Love a Bad Name" - I should know. The Slippery When Wet concert was my first concert (age 8 or so), and I used to make my sibling sing back-up.

Coolest music video I ever saw: U2 "Where the Streets Have No Name". Filmed on top of a building in downtown LA.

I wonder if Angie ever tried solving a Rubik's Cube while wearing leg warmers.

I will send you a signed check. Fill in any amount of money you deem fit in exchange for that lunchbox.

Photo not mine. It comes with a matching thermos too and mine is in near perfect condition. I hear it is a collectors item so I have no intentions of parting with it yet.

Why do you tease me with the greatness that is the Alf lunchbox? You must let me have it.

I only had one pair of leg warmers, so I don't know if I ever played with a Rubik's Cube in them. I did, however, rock the leggings-under-a-skirt look for a while. Also, you had to layer your socks with alternating colors at the time.

I might have played Simon Says (the electronic game with the red, yellow, blue, and green buttons) in leg warmers... Do they still make those?

like, I totally bet she did, fer sure!

I still say "totally". :)wink:)

I was at line at K-Mart today and talked to my companion about how the handles on the gift bag I was getting were "tubular" (because they were red plastic tubes). I then had to backtrack and explain that I was not a Ninja Turtle.

I guess I was a bit premature with the "cool" comment. :jimlad:

It's right next door to work, and I was waiting to go pick up pizza. It was the first time I'd walked in there in about 9 months - I swear.
