still sucks. Wartburg wins a playoff game yesterday against a highly ranked opponent and it gets a tiny 2 inch blurb. My local paper which is no where near Waverly, even managed to put in a larger article. Anyways, congrats on the 26-21 win my fellow Knights, have to see about making it down to Monmouth next weekend.

Yeah, and when you ask them why they're not making any money, they blame it on the internet.

Sad.

I'm going to follow up with a "Who cares". That's like being upset that ESPN didn't show the Iowa State vs KSU highlights. Other then us and the Wildcats, who cares.

Its an Iowa team in a postseason play, they should cover it accordingly. Probably not that many care about 1A football finals outside of those involved but the Register still covered that. Failing to do so really discredits the idea that they are a statewide paper.

well ... other than one being a playoff game (albeit a lower level one) and the other being a pillow fight between two of the worst teams in college football. :wideeyed:

I'll ask this question again, as I do every time a Register or John Miller post comes up? Why do continue to read something you hate? Yes, it sucks, we all get it, so show your disapproval by not participating in their little experiment they call journalism. Seriously, I hate to be a **** about it, but honestly the only thing I still do, that I wonder why I do it, is root for the Cyclones. Beyond that, if it pisses me off, I avoid it.

But the vast majority of people don't care.

It is not that Wartburg winning is a huge deal... I guess Im just used to it.

But when looking through the paper there are a lot of worthless crap stories that do get printed. How hard is it to write a small paragraph about the best D3 team in the state?

Anyway... Go Knights!!!!

I think Wartburg should just quit playing in a D-3 conference and drop down to NAIA.
Yes. That would get the Rag to cover us more. That or even go 1-AA Nonscholarship (For all intents and purposes, D3) and suddenly it supposedly becomes "coverable" football for the daily fishwrap.
