Where's all the people in this forum who have been saying "Nebraska is good this year" "They'll be towards the top on the Big 10"?

i didn't say NU was going to be good this year, but I expected them to at least be respectable. Miles has had some pretty decent recruiting classes the last 3 years. Apparently he just in not a good coach.

Fred's grandfather coaching the BB team years ago gives people a reason to connect the dots. I don't in any way think that it would ever happen, but posters here have used flimsier connections than this to predict such things.

Having lived there for a year and a half, I wouldn't wish Lincoln on my worst enemy.

Been a topic at my work too. My response is there is a better chance we fire Prohm and rehire Fred than Fred going back to coach college at UNL.
They clearly don't know anything about Fred and why he went to the NBA.

If Fred didn't like recruiting kids to ISU trying to convince basketball talent to go to Nebby would be like a root canal.

Trying to recruit good basketball players to Any football school like Nebbie is like rolling a Thousand Pound Ball up Mount Everest......Why would any good to great basketballer want to play 2nd fiddle to a football team.....

I remember Fred's gpa very well. Nebraska fired him like all the rest of their coaches because he did not win enough games. Jerry Bush's legacy was that his teams always pulled off a huge home upset or two a year. Jerry was a great guy and us kids that sat behind the Nebraska bench loved him.

Fred doesn’t want to work in a fish bowl. I still think ESPN showing his son crying while ISU got absolutely shafted in the Kansas game was one of Fred’s big reasons for leaving. I don’t care where Fred goes as long as ISU never plays against Fred’s team.

Nebraska is second fiddle by quite a ways to Creighton.
I don't think Fred takes the UCLA job either. If I was their AD I'd hire Eric Musselman.

Fred always wanted the NBA. It was obvious in his contracts.

However the big change seemed to be with Rashad Vaughn, not the KU screwjob. Fred spent years as the frontrunner for him, then UNLV bought him out of underneath him. Look at Fred's recruiting post-Vaughn and more news about his distaste for recruiting.

as much as we love it, people say the same thing about Ames unless you went to Iowa state.

True, people have said that, but they were wrong!

Let's just embrace what we've got :)

Then Iowa State called.

So DeAndre and Carol went to visit.

"Driving in, I saw those cornfields, and you know what, I said this ain't nothing but focus town," Carol said. "This is where it's got to be. This is where my son could be successful."
