Extended trailer for Aquaman. Looks WAY better than the trailer they showed at SDCC. @Triggermv you may want to avoid as it’s over 5 minutes long and gives a look at some significant fight/action scenes

WB has approached James Gunn (writer & director for Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2) to write and direct Suicide Squad 2.

https://www.thewrap.com/james-gunn-suicide-squad-2-for-dc/

I've got mixed thoughts on this. The negative is that I DID NOT like Suicide Squad and have had and still have zero interest in seeing another one. I would 100% rather WB spend their time making Man of Steel 2, Green Lantern Corps, and maybe 50 other DC movies before seeing another Suicide Squad movie. On the flip side, if I'm forced to see another Suicide Squad movie, James Gunn sounds like a home run hire for it.

Have you not seen Scott Pilgrim or Friday Night Lights (the TV show)?

Nope, sorry. If it means anything, I've both read the book and watched the Friday Night Lights movie. No TV show though. I think I've got the gist of Texas football by now.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead played Ramona Flowers in the Scott Pilgrim movie. I thought she was fantastic. Good in the action sequences, and able to convey the quirky humor with just a change in facial expression.

Jurnee Smollett played Jess in the later seasons of Friday Night Lights, when Coach Taylor moved across town to East Dillon. She was absolutely great as the girlfriend to Michael B. Jordan's character (his name escapes me atm...)

I've seen nothing of Jurnee Smollett, but I did see Mary Elizabeth Winstead in 10 Cloverfield Lane, which I thought she was good in. However, I'll say this, she better plan on hitting the gym hard and hit some training for me to be totally sold on her.

Looks like the upcoming Birds of Prey movie is confirmed by the director to be rated "R". Truthfully, I don't really like this move. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a good "R" rated comic book movie here and there when it fits as an exception, but not the rule. Ultimately, most of these comic book characters are meant to be for everyone, including kids. Yes, there are a few that aren't, but let those naturally be there and not force others into it. Honestly, this was my fear all along with the success of Logan and Deadpool, which is that studios see those movie's success and want to force it on everything. This is just another sign to me of Warner Brothers biggest weakness which is that they are way too reactive when they should be proactive. Marvel Studios is playing their game proactively 5 in the future where Warner Bros is still looking a year into the past. Its also why they are getting their butt kicked all the time.

It's a weird title to go "R" on. Deadpool makes perfect sense. Wolverine makes perfect sense. Birds of Prey... Man I don't know.

Yeah, there is just no reason to. Honestly, I'd be fine with a blu-ray "Ultimate "R" rated cut" or something like that if they really feel the need to do it, similar to what they've done before, but not the theatrical cut. Again, I've got no faith in DC right now. Lets not forget this is the studio that would rather produce 5 different Harley Quinn spin-off movies than one Man of Steel sequel simply because everyone loved Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad right????..... so so stupid.

Anyone see Aquaman?

I almost went last night (kids home for the holiday) but ended up not going at the last minute.

Marvel guy all the way so that would have been something.

I've heard (a lot), interesting actor, cgi trash.
