Dawn of the Dead

The original Dawn is a horror classic! The new one has too many issues IMO. Why on earth would you leave a mall (food, water, protection) to go to an island of unknown location and have no idea is safe?

Although the guy in the gun shop was a nice creative improvement.

Actually, they were starting to run out. They werent out yet, but they had to leave early once someone screwed up and it ended up with the zombies getting into the mall.

Did the remake take place in Milwaukee or did I just imagine that?

I swear at the beginning they had Wisconsin plates on the car or the radio said something about being in Milwaukee.

Anyone know? just curious-

It was supposed to be Milwaukee, but it was filmed in Canada. When they are all sitting around the table they have 'KFC'. The label and bucket look like KFC but I think it is in French. www.imdb.com talks about it too in the trivia section for Dawn of the Dead.
