say you propose to the love of your life and she says no. then goes and gets engaged to someone else. turns out her new man is broke and she leaves him. do you take her back?

Will the love of my life bring me super models in the future?

We'll be fine without him. We'll be better with him, and it's a future one and doner Fred can tell recruits he has.

Depends how hot she is. Then you hit that for a bit then move on... similar to a one and done situation.

Don't want Vaughn. Don't care if you think it's illogical.

I'm happy with a set of players for next year who didn't think it'd be smart to play for Dave Rice.

Because this is the same thing?

I'd hate to see how you handle free agency with players on your favorite pro teams.

I apologize in advance, because I just noticed this thread, and I'm not going to sift thru all 7,000 posts...
So forgive me if this has already been posted. But why hasn't Vaughn signed a LOI yet with UNLV? Yes, I know he committed to them, but he still hasn't signed. Is there a difference?

Look at the teams left. It's a whole bunch of teams with experience and/or balanced talent. There isn't a team with a one and done guy carrying them. Kentucky has a whole roster of that type of talent but they aren't the norm. I'd take Vaughn but he won't have the impact next year that Kane did this year.

Apparently there are a lot of people ITT that never made a bad decision in high school and don't think a high school kid that did should be able to correct that decision.

This makes me laugh. Even if Rice left UNLV, I would bet against RV coming to ISU but it just shows his loyalty.

Niang and Hogue will be those guys for us, possibly Morris. It's not like RV would have been carrying the entire load.

That's not even mentioning McKay, Nader or possibly Lee.

I agree with what you're saying, just we weren't going to be a team that relied entirely on a freshman next year no matter what.

I think most people would be fine with adding him if Fred does. However, it is easy to see why there is frustration.

Here is how I see it, the team is going to have talent next year without RV. RV comes here he is gonna need to step up his game because it won't be given to him at this point. We are gonna be hungry next year to, so he would have to toe the line and be a team player because frankly him and his talent would just be icing on the cake at this point.

I'm thinking the same thing.

Of course, I'm sure I'd welcome RV if he wants to come. If he came here, and had his head on straight, we'd contend for a National Championship next year IMO. He is EXACTLY the guy we would need next year. An awesome two guard that can really shoot it, and can drive it as well.

I know talk of a National Title is quite lofty, but I would stand by it. We are a GREAT combo 2 guard away next year IMO.
Why do you consider talk of a NC lofty after what happened this year?

FWIW... It appears that Unlv AD has offered raise + extension to Rice. Sounds like he will probably take it. Adam Zagoria reporting that some of the recruits have said they will definitely open up recruitment if rice leaves.

We relied on 3 people all year this year in Kane, Ejim, and Niang.

Next year, with or without Vaughn, we won't be relying on just three people with what we have coming in.

So no, Vaughn is no Kane, but that's ok. Kane's don't come around all the time.

Sounds like he will have final answer by Sunday. Just passing along what I'm seeing on twitter from multiple sources.

Now it gets interesting.

2 hours ago, Dave Rice confirmed to a Las Vegas news station he has been offered the USF job.

1 minute ago, a Florida news station reported they never offered Rice the job.
