To be perfectly honest, this game kind of made me sick. It really says a lot about the sportsmanship (or, rather, the lack thereof) of the coach. His team attempted 35 3-pointers in the second half of a game where they led at half by 53 points. Lincoln's leading scorer shot 41 3-pointers in this game. I mean, come on. I totally understand the "shoot it when you're hot" philosophy, but honestly, what coach, when up by 53, doesn't tell his players to take their time and run off some clock?

Here's a link to the box score.

I had a friend who told me about this. He said the team played the whole bench and everyone was just on fire. I don't care who you are to attempt 41 3's in a game is insane. A lot of teams don't attempt 21 which was how many he made. That's in a game too not in the 24 minutes he played which is just over a half.

There were 31 people in attendance at the game according to the box score. I wonder how many people watched the end?

Lincoln did play some defense: game stats show 48 steals to go with 62 OSU-Marion turnovers.

This isn't even basketball. It is a circus sideshow act. Who cares what they scored. Doesn't mean they are good. Against quality competition and fundamentals, they would get destroyed. This diminishes the concept of the game.

Why did the opposing coach not go into a four corners offense to slow the thing down.

The way it sounds he couldn't get the ball over half-court to set up an offense. It is amazing that they even scored 78 points. That makes what, 278 points in 40 min? That's an average of almost 7 points per minute. Amazing.

Lol, anyone else find this portion of the scoring summary funny?

STEAL by Carter-Bey, Vincent 18:49
MISSED LAYUP by Carter-Bey, Vincent 18:47
REBOUND (OFF) by Wooten, Garrick 18:47
MISSED LAYUP by Wooten, Garrick 18:45
REBOUND (OFF) by Wooten, Garrick 18:45
MISSED LAYUP by Wooten, Garrick 18:39
REBOUND (OFF) by Wooten, Garrick 18:39
MISSED LAYUP by Wooten, Garrick 18:36
REBOUND (OFF) by Wooten, Garrick 18:36
18:27 FOUL by BryantSisler
GOOD! FT SHOT by Wooten, Garrick 18:27 10-3 H 7
GOOD! FT SHOT by Wooten, Garrick 18:26 11-3 H 8

Carter gets a steal and then misses a layup. Followed by Wooten getting an offensive rebound, only to miss the layup 3 times in a row, and then gets another rebound before being fouled? Man, Marion must've been one awful team.
