I sent a e-mail to Steve Malchow a received the following information.

No Toledo games in this area. But here is the good news (the announcement has not be made, yet but will be done in the near future). Is that our television distributor has agreed to a 4-years deal with KCAU to carry a minimum of eight men's basketball games begining this year as well as carrying the Dan McCaarney and Greg McDemott TV shows on Sundays nights between 11 p.m. and midnight .

Steve is a Sioux City native, so no doubt he knows what type of coverage ISU doesn't get on TV. Growing up, my winter Saturdays were spent glued to KTIV because they had both the 1:00 and 3:00 Big Eight games. Aaaah, those were the days. Forget playing in the snow. My best friends on those days were Johnny, Norm and Billy.

Steve Malchow is Senior associate AD-Communications. Also last season some of the area cable companies picked up the ESPN+ feed for the ISU and Iowa basketball games. It was great.
