I'm also wondering this. Would love to watch the road games with some friends.

Sadly I was at Poor Richard's in Bloomington last Sunday enjoying some NFL games (free beer the hour before all Vikings games, even though I'm a Chiefs fan) when I noticed a black and gold pennant in the corner. My very hot waitress then said they are also a hawkeye bar. Guess I won't be going back.

Used to be "Majors" sports bar and the Iowa alumni group lists it as one of their game watch spots.

I am sure there is more, but...

Iowa State University Alumni Association - ISU Alumni Association Club of the Twin Cities

OFFICIAL GAMEWATCH LOCATIONS
Joe Senser’s Sports Grill -- Primary Location
4217 West 80th, Bloomington

Joe Senser's Sports Grill
2350 Cleveland Ave., Roseville

Steve will have the game on at Senser's Blomington. We had right around 100 there for the game against Iowa on Saturday. Probably around 10 hawks there. It's our house on ISU/Iowa gameday.

Probably why a lot of the Major's went out of business.

I figured Sensor's would have some, but when I saw this thread was hoping for insight to a place that would be totally ISU on gamedays. Sensors is gonna be a mix of everything.

My wife and I were at Poor Richards last Saturday! There were 2 other cyclones in the building. It was great. We went there for the Nebraska game last year, had a great time. Didnt realize that it used to be Majors until we were in the parking lot. Decided to go ahead and watch in a hostile environment. Ended up working out just fine.

I am going to be in Lakeville Friday. I assume Roseville is closest?

Bloomington would be closer. Take I-35/35W to 494 west, then take the France Ave. exit. It's on the south frontage road of 494.

Senser's isn't my favorite bar, but it is the place to go if you want to see other Cyclone fans. Call ahead and make sure they're showing the game.

Quite frankly, our Alumni Association chapter up here absolutely sucks when it comes to game watches. This is one of the largest chapters in terms of membership and they do next to nothing for us.

When no one in this thread can specifically identify where to go for a good gamewatch bar full of Cyclones, it's a testament to how bad our Alumni Association is up here.

I am stuck in Maple Grove any suggestions

There is Joe Senser's in Plymouth, Hwy 55 (10 min from Maple Grove). I've seen some Cyclone games there and there were few Cyclone fans.

Or you can try Champps, Elm Creek Blvd in Maple Grove. I think they have a good set up for game watching.

We had 100 happy fans at Senser's last Saturday with every other screen in the bar set to our game. If you have anything to suggest, other than just anonymous complaints on an internet forum, than drop us an email with some suggestions. If your suggestion is simply “I don’t like Senser’sâ€￾ you are probably wasting your time because the majority of our folks think it is a pretty good place to watch games with their abundance of big screens and their ability to pull in games that are only carried in other regions of the country. Beside, what place would have been big enough for the 250 folks we had for the 2008 game TV watch?

BTW, even visitors from out of town know Senser’s is the place to go for ISU football games.

Well done Boxster, I always get e-mails from the Twin Cities ISUAA. This guy above must not have signed up properly and is just guessing.
