Really now you are just being a troll, you know exactly what I mean.Who are are regular fans? The ones who don’t donate and pay $309 per seat for season tickets?
I actually don’t. Iowa State has so many options for every different level of fan so I’m not sure what you’re considering “regular”Really now you are just being a troll, you know exactly what I mean.
The goal posts are officially moved I see.I mean what is the cost for tickets in section 4,5,6, 23 non chairbacks. all which are similar to our Directors level?
Well kinda, you seem to not mention you can get 50 yardline tickets at JTS for much less than an 18k donation but you seem to want to use our apples against other teams oranges when it suits you.Section to section.
I would compare club to club, suite to suite, sideline to sideline, corner to corner etc.
You cant compare a suite to a corner seat etc. That would definitely be apples to oranges. I get it they have more suites, great, maybe we need more, instead of pushing the cost to the average fans.
ok so how, outside the upper nosebleeds. Yet you dont want to compare those with the same upper nose bleeds at the other stadiums. (those same 4 upper nose bleed 50 yard line seats at KSU would be $2040 all in, nearly half the cost.)Well kinda, you seem to not mention you can get 50 yardline tickets at JTS for much less than an 18k donation but you seem to want to use our apples against other teams oranges when it suits you.
I looked at you can get 4 50 yard line tickets at JTS for 3540 total.
Also you can’t just take the price of an individual ticket, unless you are some sad schlub who has 0 friends.
You keep referencing the $18,000 donation but you can sit down below on the 40 for $4,500, the 30 for $1,800 and the 20 for $900. I mean you can get section 38 or section 13 with a $360 donation! Plus if you want to sit in the uppers you have a lot more affordable options. Section 15 is a fine vantage point, no donation required and only $460 for tickets.ok so how, outside the upper nosebleeds. You want apples to apples but then come at me with this.
even in the chair back section if you are not maxing out every option of to get you value it takes a lot to pass ISU.
So lets take the chair back section.
go with ten tickets,.
At KSU, 1700 per ticket all in. so... $17K total
ISU $18K for donation, plus $6600 for the 10 tickets..... total $24, 600.
That leaves you $7,600 to put towards BB at that level, before you pass the Cost at ISU.
At 12 you can shrink it more, but if you get less that difference expands rapidly. (the difference shrinks to about $5500)
The only way you are getting a value, at ISU, is if you max out your ticket options and absolutely have to do both FB and BB.
And yeah I only get 2 or 4 tickets, because my kids arent interested, hell my wife isnt most days, and trying to find anyone interested that either dont already have tickets in their own group or can go, is next to impossible, and selling them at a loss gets old too, so there is no point is buying more than I need. Most of my friends and family that are Cyclone fans either already have tickets, get tickets in a much different section usually lower donor etc, or just have no interest in going, the rest... are suckeye fans etc.
This year I also will be going to some South Dakota State games to see my niece on their dance team, as I told my sister I would go with her to a few. Not to mention my kids sports every single fall weekend from mid august through mid june. Makes it pretty difficult for me, my wife, and kids to all go.
My oldest is a grad student at ISU and wants me to continue to come and tailgate at ISU but justifying the cost is difficult to do especially for season tickets. Especially when you can get really good tickets on the secondary market for a huge discount.

Yeah, Im not so sure I'm ready to jump on that bandwagon.I have no doubt it’s time for a new AD. JP did great. Time for new blood and ideas.
If you think the main perk of the sukup club is selling beer then I suggest you go sit there and late October, November, and early December.I mean sukups main perk is beer, which many schools sell throughout the stadium. JP will never do that.
KSU did for a while, then only in certain areas but added a beer garden area too.
I for one have thought maybe they need to expand the Jack Trice club further down that side. There seems to be a long waiting list to get in there, maybe expanding those premium areas would be a good idea.
Are club sections more valuable than suites now days? Maybe we need to convert some of suits to clubs?
Problem is in many cases it will cost a lot to expand said premium areas, especially if it needs significant expansion project, which I am not sure we will have that money any time soon. So in turn it will continue to be the cost is pushed on the backs of the average fans.
13% of our undergrads are in Ag.You are doing your part, you are one of the few. It’s going to take help from the many.
just a question is there any donation for the mobile tickets. if not why not?View attachment 153299
Last post on this by me. Ok let’s use the purple area, looking at the picture, why do you only say 18k for lower deck when it’s actually 9k gets you there too? You are fixated on the 50s costing 18k but apparently you can get those for 9k also.
It seems to me that the prices at other schools are completely irrelevant other than to provide a vague notion of what the market might be. First, tickets at Kansas, K-state, etc. are not substitutes. If you go to the meat market at Fareway, you might choose between chicken, beef, and pork based on price, but no one is looking at prices at some other schools and switching away from ISU because of ticket prices. Second, as many have pointed out, it is difficult to compare prices because different schools have different schemes with respect to parking, per seat donations, donations segregated by sport, etc. What’s relevant is the market for ISU tickets and what pricing scheme maximizes revenue for Cyclone athletics.ok so how, outside the upper nosebleeds. Yet you dont want to compare those with the same upper nose bleeds at the other stadiums. (those same 4 upper nose bleed 50 yard line seats at KSU would be $2040 all in, nearly half the cost.)

They are basically the cheap tickets. Fill seats that don’t get sold and make a few extra bucks.just a question is there any donation for the mobile tickets. if not why not?
No donation required. I don't believe there is any requirement for the lowest permanent seating season tkt either is there?just a question is there any donation for the mobile tickets. if not why not?

I literally said compare section to section vs other schools similar sections seats. Its not just about any one section. In most cases in most stadiums of our peers, the similar section seats are far cheaper. You can get all those sections in other stadiums for even less too. That has been my entire point, but everyone is fixated on one price point, when I have repeatedly said compare like sections. You keep referencing the $18,000 donation but you can sit down below on the 40 for $4,500, the 30 for $1,800 and the 20 for $900. The serious flaw in your argument though is your ignoring half of the Iowa State donation and then picking out the worst value for Iowa State tickets and comparing them to the best value at other venues.
