I have really noticed his presence this season during games. I can’t remember who was down today but andrews was there with the training staff/doc. It really looked like he was there for his athlete and to monitor if player will be ready to go back on field. I liked his presence.

Both times, particularly the second time, I really liked how he was there to calm and protect Campbell from himself during ref gate 2

it seems as though his approach this season has really been a large difference throughout the program. The team seems more fit physically and mentally. While only one season I am encouraged coach andrews is working with these athletes and coaches.

My initial impression is that he could be a long-term game changer for the program.

Thoughts?

I think it was super impressive how few times we had players go down during games. I find it hard to believe that Andrews could have had such an impact without spring ball, but maybe he did.

Any way, I think he was a great hire.

Ya, I noticed him too and wondered at the time who he was. He impressed me. Thanks for bringing that up.

Agree with what you've said and as far as long term, he will be here as long as Matt is here.... cause Matt will take him along.

I bet Campbell is pissed about it. Remember he did something sort of similar the year we got robbed at Kansas State?

I’m excited to see the progress of the team with a full offseason to train with Andrews. Could be a major difference for next year. We already saw the results this year without a full spring season

I love Coach A. The team did great late and it's cool that he's like CMC's body guard/hold me back guy.

Agree...I've heard some players comment they appreciate him and he knows what he's doing.

Also....a likely regular spring ball and fall camp gets me excited.

Coach A seems to be doing an awesome job. As for his attempts to calm Campbell, I thought he failed miserably. Haha! He gave it a good try initially, then he seemingly said "screw it, you're on your own." Once Campbell went into the third wave of his tirade, I found myself begging Andrews to drag him by the shirt collar back to the sideline!

It was funny watching Jaquan trying to calm down Coach. He was definitely concerned about the possibility of a flag. I was at the Texas 2017 game when JB got the unsportsmanlike that gave the Longhorns a first down. Tables kind of turned today. It's been a lot of fun watching Jaquan grow up. I really hope he has a shot in the League.

The thing that impressed me is not only did we stay relatively healthy, but we were playing our best ball in the third and fourth quarter throughout the year. Even just last year we were worn down by the end of the year and couldn’t stay with teams an entire game. This year we dominated the second half.

Andrews had morphed this team.

He's one of the most respected strength-coaches in the country. Aaron Donald trains with him for a reason. We're lucky to have him. Can't wait to see the results with him with a full Spring.

Andrews seems to be what was the missing piece. Heard Campbell say something in an interview earlier in the season about feeling like we got wore down late in the season last year. Went on to say that they weren't working them as hard and trying to get the coaches home a little earlier each night as well. No doubt that a set of fresh eyes from Andrews made a difference. We were stronger in November than October for once, and all season long were wearing teams down in the second half.

Definitely a game changer.

Hopefully we will say some of these same things a year from now about a special teams coach.
