this is funny, I've never experienced or known a fan base that pats itself on the back more than husker fan. Isn't there an engraving on the wall near a memorial stadium entrance that says "through these doors pass the greatest fans in america" or something of that nature?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt the fans would have put that up. That's not exactly fans patting themselves on the back.
