I don't have a link from a valid source, but on a wrestling forum that I found someone summarized the press conference and said that it is believed that both Nancy and Daniel were killed Friday and Chris on Saturday. It said that Chris was dead several hours but not more than one day after Daniel was dead.

This is just nuts.

Professional wrestler's bodies take more punishment than baseball player's and there is no offseason to rest. They're on the road doing live events over 200 days of the year. I think steroids in wrestling might just be a way for them to get by.

Probably. It sounds like a lot of them take cocaine and other drugs to help them get by as well. Hence they die at 45. Unless you're Ric Flair.

If this is due to "roid rage" I hope they go after the company that sold him the drugs and the company that manufactures it.

That's one of the stupidest statements I've ever seen. Here we go again, sue McDonald's for making me fat, sue the cigarrette companies because I chose to smoke and 50 years later died of lung cancer, blame the media and video games for school shootings.

I'm tired of people not taking responsibility for their own actions and always looking for a scapegoat and somebody else to blame.

Well, if they're selling him steroids illegally then shouldn't they take responsibility for their actions?

If that's the case, then I would agree with that. But in the press conference they said that they believed all drugs found in the house were prescribed legally.

I recall reading about Rick Rude taking steroids to help with joint pain. Perhaps this is the reason they were prescribed legally...

I just read an account that said that there were prescriptions in the household but they didn't say if they were obtained legally or not.

Alot all of the steroids taken by pro and college athletes, entertainers (wrestling), and actors are prescribed by someone... It's amazing what money can do and you would have no clue how fast the word spreads (see the internet case w/ Gary Matthews)... I would guess there is a pretty good pipeline to WWE from Mexico or somewhere in the caribbean straight to WWE headquarters... I wouldn't doubt one bit that these guys are pressured to do the stuff and I think thats why you see alot of the legit athletes that join not hang around too long...

The story on WWE.com reports that:

"Several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning prompted concerned friends to alert Richard Hering, VP of Government Relations for WWE, Inc. Hering, in turn, spoke with Fayette County sheriffs Monday, and requested that they respond to the Benoit residence to check on him and his family."

Now... I know nothing about WWE or Chris... but the quote above makes me think that Chris could have had some enemies. If people were getting strange texts from Chris (maybe because he's worried about something and contacting friends) and they want somebody to go check on him and his family to make sure they're okay... (because his texts to them led them to believe he's in danger?)

Then his family dies a day before he does... maybe because they were killed by somebody else (the person(s) he was worried about that caused him to text his friends) and that depressed him enough to kill himself?

Just a theory that shouldn't be ruled out.

According to the CBS news at 5:30 the drugs found were indeed steroids.
