I guess he never officially enrolled at Ohio State and therefore was still technically in the portal? I don't think you can re-enter the portal after it closes

What a turn of events there. They were pretty crowded in the middle weights with him there and he sure wasn’t guaranteed a spot. Same with here he was going to have to lock in to be a starter going forward

Dont know the entirety of the situation but cant help but feel bad for Cody with the type of Dad it sounds like he has and has to "please". Has to be a tough situation for him.

Have it on pretty good authority, and this goes back to his time in Iowa City, he bawled like a baby when his dad made him leave to come to Ames. This person also said the best thing that could happen to Cody was if he severed ties with his dad.

I may get flamed for this... but Wresting, Baseball, and Hockey parents are the absolute WORST when it comes to things like this. Probably can throw in Basketball AAU handlers as well.

Umm so, apparently it isn’t a 100% done deal with Chattanooga and someone else is in play. I have no idea who. But I’m told it’s 60/40 chatt

he really should have just stuck around and used his redshirt year here to get healthy and work on his mat skills and he would have been so much better off

It seems like he’s kind of scrambling around now trying to find a better fit than he had here. I’m sure he won’t like looking back on this decision or his decisions in the b12 and ncaa tourneys.
