So, @IowaRealEstate and @ChrisMWilliams, how'd it go with that investment scheme about buying NCAA Regional tickets for Kansas City? I lost my shirt!

Seriously. I didn't take your advice, but I bought 4 lower level tickets in a early, early bird pre-sale last Spring (blind purchase without knowing your seats until October). Was hoping for Iowa State to get the tournament placement they did and/or Kansas to be there. Argh. Sold the last set of tickets on Stub Hub right after the Auburn game. Lost about $150 per strip (note there were only two tickets per strip, one for both games on Friday and one for the game on Sunday). I guess Charter should stick to real estate and C-Dubs to journalism.

P.S. I made a $600 profit (after Stub Hub fees) per strip selling similar tickets to KU fans two years ago, so I'm still ahead.

Listened to this podcast....contemplated the same idea....didn’t pull the trigger on it. Best move ever. Seriously though, Charter and Williams need to not talk about stupid stuff like this, they only influence others who are too loose with their money to try similar moves. Love the fawcast, but these guys need to stick to bulls-ing about sports, celebs and laxative jokes. EDIT: and ghost hunting

If they had been saying it two years ago and people did it, we would be considering them genius financial consultants!
