Toure is ranked low cause he came from Europe and only played 1 year of high school and no summer ball. He might be the gem of this class.

He will also be a 19 year old freshman with experience playing in Europe. In one of TJ’s interviews he mentioned they talked about adding Toure to last years class when Pierce left early. I think he can make an immediate impact next year depending on his knee injury.

Went out and re-watching or watching more recent videos of Toure, and man that guy is what this team needs next year. Hopefully he translates to P4 quickly and no issues with the knee.

Between Toure and Batemon we could get plenty of explosive play from the backcourt.

I believe most feel that the level of play is going to drop now that the vast majority of older players have run out of eligibility. I heard Blum and Williams as well as other "Talking Heads" say that everyone's roster is going to get a lot young.

If you factor in the age of some of these players the past couple of seasons- it is no wonder many of the incoming freshmen are riding pine. It takes a special freshmen or a special need for freshmen to see meaningful minutes. We see 17/18 year old athletes trying to beat out players who are 22-24 years old in most cases.
Not only are they going to get a lot younger, but the amount of roster turnover due to the portal is significant. There will be very few teams that have the elite level of core players who have been in a system together as long as ours and have played together more than Tamin, Milan, Heise, and JJ.

I have a real hard time seeing us as top 10 next year. Losing our two primary centers, I worry about our front line. One injury there we are in trouble. And most of all losing Gilbert and Jones, we won't have anyone with the combination of talent and experience of those two to fill those guard roles next year.

Idk if we’ll be top ten to start the year but top 15-20 is probably where we’ll end up being. We’re not going to be ranked based off a hypothetical injury that could happen. Losing Gilbert and Jones obviously hurts but they were unknown commodities their first years here and we were a top 10 team.
