CBS did the same article for each conference individually.

In the bold prediction part, Dennis Dodd says "This will be Matt Campbell's last year at Iowa State. He will be leading a Big Ten program next season."

If there are any openings in the Big Ten next year, they will probably be lateral moves, so a move there seems unlikely.

This is such a tired storyline. Campbell's dream job is the Browns. Not a lateral NCAA move.

Campbell could have just about any job he wanted at any point.

He is here because he wants to be here.

The "Iowa State is a graveyard" and "he will leave" stuff seems to motivate him more.

Campbell seems the type who enjoys playing on hard mode.

Historically speaking, ISU is overrated. That would mean ISU falls apart late in the season and limps to 7-5.

But IF the trajectory continues, ISU is underrated. Maybe 11-1? (That was tough to type)

I think it may be possible for ISU, OU and UT to all have one loss at the end of the season. Then somehow ISU does not make it to championship game because ISU.......

Historically speaking, ISU would never be mentioned in either case.

In my 44 years I have never seen any ISU team garner this much or any at all National attention by the media. I am just enjoying soaking it all in, and drinking all the cardinal & gold kool-aid I can!

To be fair, ISU got a little attention in 2005 and 2006, being picked preseason 2nd in the North division (should have thrown it to Blythe more often).
