If we win the Big 12, he’ll be one of the hottest names out there. Hope we do and we keep him anyway.

CMC was quoted in the article saying that his goal isn’t 1 game it’s a Championship. Win the whole damn thing and when Freeman gets canned at ND then CMC can stand in front if the press and say, “why would I go to ND. I just won the whole f’ing thing at “lowly” ISU and no one has done that at Notre Dame for nearly 40 years.”

Yeah, no ******* way. We're going to struggle to have 2 teams in the Top 12 most years - with the ability to have 5 or 6 teams worthy of being 20-25th. The great thing about our league is there is perfect harmony in terms of power and ability for each team to win on any given day. That means we'll beat eachother up in W/L most years unless some team has a killer team where they're clearly elite.

Michigan and ND could both open up this year. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Campbell as a serious candidate for either of those.
And Penn State, Ohio State, Florida, and a few other football crazy powerhouses by the end of the year.

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

He used Baylor as an example of where CMC could go LMAO

Nothing to see here. Just garbage filler content in an attempt to get clicks.

Let's put our business caps on. B12 = no CBS. B1G = CBS. They can't have us beating their darling B1G teams. Especially in a rivalry that gets tons of exposure. So, start this narrative to prevent them from tarnishing their media darlings. Sick of hearing this BS out of nobodies. It's like post-game comments like "He should've done this. Or, he should've done that." Geez. Even I can speculate on woulda shoulda coulda.

I hate ND but I have been pulling bigtime for Freeman to have success and prove all the old white guys that fought against his hiring wrong. They're not building stability with their positional players, they're using the rent a player approach for QBs and it's working about as well for them as it has for Iowa.
All the old too involved white guys want the best coach they can buy period.

Almost a decade of CMC choosing to stay in Ames and the national media still thinks he is looking for the next step up job he can get as soon as he wins a big game? Journalism has gotten so lazy in this country, just an absolute shadow of a profession at this point.

I’m only worried about Campbell leaving to go to OSU, Michigan, or ND. OSU and Michigan won’t be open. ND could be a bit scary, but I doubt those guys are too excited about a .500 coach from Iowa State, even if Campbell does have a great year this year.

If the offensive passing scheme keeps improving I could see losing Mouser in the offseason to a low level hc job. The play design to open Noel on the catch that set up the winning field goal was perfect.

And of course Marcus Freeman produced an atrocious loss the same day.

Still not worried after 9 years.
ND should still win 10 games this year. I'm more concerned with the Michigan coach getting time to build them back up.

And still with either program, even if Campbell wins 10 games this year, I'm not convinced you can sell a coach that went 64-50 over 9 years to either of those fan bases and boosters.

Put Penn State in there. Can’t confirm firsthand, but I believe Matt was a fan growing up

As an AD, if you watched that ISU-Iowa game Saturday and wanted to hire either head coach after it…. you need to lose your job.
