Carson Willich out for year with torn ACL

OL was pretty good in pass protection. LBs made improvement as the year went along, but on the year it was pretty clearly the group that needs to see the biggest improvement. But I also think ISU has a good track record of developing those groups into solid units.

OL was pretty good in pass protection.

Thank you for pointing this out. While I'm not going to defend their god awful run blocking, our OL was solid in pass protection, very few sacks given up. Some of that might be scheme. There is potential for more sacks being given up if ISU is for real about wanting more deep hitters/longer route concepts.

The severe injury to Carson is bad news. Being prepared to play competitively in September is good news.
