So since it is about spring and time to clean out the inside of my cars. Anyone have any good tricks/advice?

Especially when it comes to removing film from windows. I never seem to be able to get the windows right.

And getting bug and muck off the front.

What are some favorite products people use for both inside and outside?

We are selling one of our cars, and I just spent the weekend cleaning it up.
Got out the carpet shampooer, and cleaned all the apolstry and floors. Couldn't believe the nastyness that came out of the seats. (2 young children)

I didn't use anything fancy, just the ole tub of Armour All cleaner wipes and a lot of windex.

Zaino is the best. Nothing else is even a close second. Wash the car with Dawn, clay bar it, and Zaino it. You can Zaino the glass and everything.

Use 303 on the plastics.

Exactly what Ames says. I've tried about everything and this is the combo if you want your car to look the best.

It will get you a really nice clean surface to seal up.

You fill a spray bottle with water and add a little car wash soap. Wash the car. Then spray ahead of the area you are using the clay bar on. If you don't keep it wet enough you could scratch the car.

One of my favorite things to do over the summer months is wash my cars by hand in the drive and detail them out. Few things are nicer than driving a detailed car with your favorite girl or detailing it for game day!

Wash by hand even though cheaper, it is better. Mothers has worked well for my vehicles over the years. Tried the clay product last fall and it worked well. I use good 3M window cleaner or ammonia and water(The best!). I save all of my old T shirts and socks for detailing. Don't use paper towels on the materials inside as you will eventually scratch the lens..always use cloth. I use one of the spinny brush cleaners that fit on a chordless to clean my rims.

Advice on getting dog hair off of upholstery?

Shop vac doesn't get it. Tried wet rag, nothing seems to really work.

Armour All has a cleaner for everything that is better than their regular old stuff, works great, take it from someone that gets about everything on his seats and floors. Shampoo your carpets. I like to use a turtle wax's car wash on the out side, seems to make it shine better and doesnt leave a film, that or hotsy's soap. Windex your windows a few times, to get clean windows it takes time.

Yeah don't use Windex. It's not good for paint. If you get the ammonia free stuff for cars it's ok.

I don't think I even need to comment on the Armor All.

I picked up a sponge like product from a hobby store. Just wiped it over the upholstery and the pet hair clings to it and you are able to easily pull the rolled up hair from the sponge. I don't have the name of the product, but check around at some of the big box hobby type stores.
