The commercials are on constantly and the mudslinging can be kind of ugly sometimes. After the caucus, we can get back to the important issues such as, Iowa State football and basketball.

Only a few more days, and then no one cares about Iowa again, just the way I like it.

Amen to that. I think we had 5 phone calls yesterday alone.

Has to be over 100 the past couple months. Probably closer to 200. So tired of it.

The only time I like when people care about the state of Iowa is when we are playing in the final 4 in two years.

I dont' think I've seen a single ad for it this year. Maybe I have. I dunno.

I guess refusing to watch network, and hence local, television these days might account for that.

I remember flying out of Des Moines the day after the last caucus, (after Howard Dean's crazy yell) not even thinking about the airport being busy. I got there 45 minutes early, as usual, and the security line was back to baggage claim. It was pretty nuts. I ended up talking to some friends of **** Gephardt's daughter. There were a couple of gay guys who were hilarious. One had a deep southern accent and that gay lisp thing. It was one of the funniest accents I've ever heard. We all caught our flights, and it was kinda fun talking to those folks in line anyway.

I am getting tired of the emails on my ISU account. I didn't know they could do that without me signing up for them.

I'm pretty sure the university sells e-mails. I used to work for N. Grand Mall, and there was this place called "amesmall.com" or something like that who had bought the e-mails, and we'd get complaints about spam (even though it wasn't us).

We got three calls YESTERDAY about Hillary. My husband and I were trying to rank most calls to least... Hillary has probably been most, and I actually think Obama or maybe Biden are least. I love that Biden starts each call with, "This is Joe Biden, and I'm REALLY sorry to bother you..."

I keep getting these hand-addressed envelopes with a letter about Ron Paul signed by some Paultard in it. It's really kinda disturbing that someone is taking the time to hand write addresses on thousands of envelopes.

Those are the kinds of people who likely have a fleshcoat and pit in their house with a basket full of hand lotion on the nightstand, IMO.

The phone calls are getting worse by the day. Every day I come home and there are usually 2 or 3 missed calls on the caller ID and at least 1 message on the machine from some political thing. On top of that I had a jehovah witness ring my door bell Saturday morning to wake me up so I had enough with all the soliciting and crap recently. Nothing more I hate then a polictal rep, charity, or whatever going door to door, especially during this time of the year.

You guys just need to give up your land lines and just use cell phones. I haven't had one call yet, and it's glorious.

I had some 50 year old ugly big chick and her friend show up at my door and this is a real quote "are you going to caucus this year".

I simply started laughing and told them I was married.

What sucks is that it's actually my cell that they're calling. We just got our land line (for DSL), so nobody calls that. :skeptical:

I haven't had any calls to my cell phone (thank God), however since I've been at home, we get about 3-4 pre-recorded calls about the caucus's. It's very annoying. I don't even answer the home phone anymore, I just let the answering machine screen my calls. If it was important, they would leave a message or if they knew me they would call my cell phone.
