I was hoping for a healthy Grill again next season. Portal chat is going to get good on here. Gonna need a couple guards maybe 3?

TJ is constantly talking to the officials. He doesn’t have to make an ass of himself to try and make a point. Maybe you should take some notes from TJ.
Oh he's talking to them? Great.

It's working amazingly.

Loved both WVU games. Great officiating.

Maybe they were practicing some shot clock/ end of game plays and Caleb told TJ what all of us say when we watch the magic unfold: Ain't gonna work coach.

Even the announcers were calling them horrible calls.
96% of the time announcers are moronic when it comes to their comments about officials. Ok. Ok. Maybe not 96. But they are the vast, vast, vast majority of the time. In fact it's probably 97%.

You think screaming at officials is the only way to communicate effectively? You have clearly never been on either side of those exchanges. Iowa State isn’t getting disproportionately bad calls, you just notice them more because it’s the team you follow.

And as far as the last play goes, that was not a bad play, just a poorly executed pass. Gabe would have been open on the wing for 3.

Of all the legitimate critiques you could have on TJ, with timed subs, lack of adjustments, and set plays being a few of them, you are going to complain about NOT getting technicals? You've got to be ******* kidding me.

Lol, the vast majority of announcers across all sports are bad. It's really amazing that 50 percent of them could even be hired to be in the booth when there are dozens to hundreds of better options in the stands.

That was a classy tweet by Grill. Whatever he said, must’ve been really bad, because you would think you could work that stuff out unless it was just too much.
My guess is that it may have been an accumulation of things. TJ doesn't strike me as a guy who would just remove a player for a one time transgression unless it was severe, and Caleb doesn't strike me as a guy that would do something bad enough to warrant that kind of decisive punishment on a first offense. There were probably some issues that had been discussed, followed by a final transgression that led to this.

Whatever the case may be, the team and fans will certainly miss his abilities, and I truly hope that he gets the help he needs to sort things out and make a new start. It certainly seems like he has the kind of family that he needs to support him through this.

I just can’t imagine this couldn’t have been framed differently by TJ. Kid obviously has some stuff going on and I don’t doubt it made it’s way to the locker room. He also busted his tail here and played hurt this year. Surely he could have framed it in a way that didn’t make it look like he got the boot for being a bad teammate. We probably owed him better than that.
This. We never heard about any trouble about this young man until his injury and corresponding treatment. Are we going to hold the drs, pharmacists, and other adults accountable for his reaction to the treatment?

He should probably have been treated in Des Moines.

Nah, he’s actually correct. Read other teams opinions of him. He should have been called for undercutting a Texas player dangerously.
One bad play in a heated game(Texas game) doesn’t make him a a dirty player or a bad guy. Prior to that he may have been a bit of a **** talker, but I don’t think he’d even ever had a T before or been accused of dirty play. After that with his injury I think he just got frustrated and couldn’t handle himself.

Show a clip plz. He was struggling but there wasn’t a confrontation with TJ.

Yeah there was, it was right in front of where John and Eric do the radio broadcast on the sideline. It probably didn't get on the TV feed but many of us in attendance saw it live. It really shocked me because I though those two were really close.

I was there also. I saw TJ grab his arm but that’s all I saw.
