1. TCU: 8-3 (.727)

• Wins vs. top 10 (5): at No. 5 Boise State (2011), at No. 5 Utah (2010), vs. No. 5 Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl (2010), vs. No. 9 BYU (2008), vs. No. 9 Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl (2008)

TCU has the most top 10 wins, which included two in 2008 and two in 2010. They also went an amazing 4-0 in the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Quite a run for the Frogs. Welcome to the Big 12. Are we sure they'll have more trouble in the Big 12 than West Virginia?

2. Oklahoma: 15-8 (.652)

• Wins vs. top 10 (3): at No. 5 Florida State (2011), at No. 8 Kansas State (2011), vs. No. 2 Texas Tech (2008)

Ambitious nonconference scheduling gave the Sooners the most games versus the top 25 of anyone in the Big 12 -- and they've proven themselves when given the opportunity, save a rough 2009 season that featured losses to BYU and Miami.

3. Oklahoma State: 8-7 (.533)

• Wins vs. top 10 (3): at No. 8 Texas A&M (2011), vs. No. 4 Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl (2011), at No. 3 Missouri (2008)

The Cowboys were an amazing 5-0 in 2011, when they won the Big 12 and went 12-1. That's a far cry from all the way back in 2008, when OSU won nine games, but went just 1-4 against the top 25.

4. West Virginia: 4-4 (.500)

• Wins vs. top 10 (1): vs. No. 9 Pitt (2009)

WVU was 2-1 in 2011. It's also worth noting that two of those four losses came to top 5 LSU teams.

5. Texas: 8-10 (.444)

• Wins vs. top 10 (4): at No. 5 Nebraska (2010), vs. No. 1 Oklahoma in Dallas (2008), vs. No. 6 Oklahoma State (2008); vs. No. 10 Ohio State in Fiesta Bowl (2008)

Texas is just 1-8 in 2010 and 2011, but racked up three top 10 wins alone in the controversial 2008 season.

6. Texas Tech: 6-13 (.316)

• Wins vs. top 10 (3): at No. 3 Oklahoma (2011), vs. No. 1 Texas (2008), vs. No. 9 Oklahoma State (2008)

Tech had a rough 1-5 run during the 5-7 season in 2011, but in that magical 2008 season, it won three games vs. the top 25, including two vs. the top 10.

7. Baylor: 4-15 (.210)

• Wins vs. top 10 (1): vs. No. 5 Oklahoma (2011)

Three of the Bears wins vs. the top 25 came in the 2011 season, including its only win over a top 10 team. BU was 0-9 in 2008 and 2009.

T-8. Iowa State: 3-15 (.167)

• Wins vs. top 10 (1): vs. No. 2 Oklahoma State (2011)

The Cyclones played a staggering seven top 25 teams in 2011, beating Texas Tech after it upset OU to reach the top 25, and ruining Oklahoma State's undefeated season.

T-8. Kansas State: 2-10 (.167)

• Wins vs. top 10: None

K-State earned its only top 25 wins in 2011, when it beat Texas and Baylor.

10. Kansas: 2-14 (.125)

• Wins vs. top 10: None

KU's dramatic, snowy upset over No. 13 Missouri in 2008 is the best win of the bunch.

7 top 25 teams last year and fortunately Iowa and Missouri weren't great or it could have been 8 or 9 ranked teams out of 12 regular season games.

The SEC is now easier to get to 6 wins than the Big 12. It's harder to run the table, but much easier to get to a bowl game. They know what they are doing resisting 9 games even with the expansion and schedule difficulties it creates. They gain nothing by making it harder for Ole Miss, Miss State, Kentucky and Vanderbilt to get bowl games.

That's what we're doing with 9 game schedule, losing a bowl game or two a year (Tech last year). We're also losing ranked teams. Otherwise Big 12 teams wouldn't be 3-8 spots higher on average in every computer poll than they are on voter polls. Voters never truly account for SOS, they're always idiotically hypnotized by the win loss column alone.
