Aside from watching the Big XII runner up, TCU, take on Michigan, the bowl game I look forward to most is the Big XII Champion Kansas State Wildcats vs Nick Saban's 'Bama squad. It must be nice, that in a down year, your team only gets to play in the Sugar Bowl. But seriously, this is a huge opportunity for coach Kleiman to get the national recognition he deserves for what he has accomplished so far at the FBS level, You can say that no one questions his accomplishments in his time at NDSU, but keep in mind there is little awareness of FCS football outside of the upper midwest.
This should also be a coming out for freshman sensation, QB Will Howard, whose consistent performance down the stretch has begun turning some heads. Could be the league's next Brock Purdy story.
And last, but not least, the Sugar Bowl will showcase the incredible talent of Deuce Vaughn, who ought to get some looks from the NFL, where he could become a fan favorite.

Will Howard is an academic junior, scholarship sophomore with a Covid year.

The big question down here: will Deuce Vaughn forego his senior year and enter the draft along with fellow junior Felix Anudike-Uzomah?

Rumor has it that the o'line will return intact, including first team All-American, junior Cooper Beebe who wants to play a year with his incoming brother.

I'm sure y'all wanted to know that. :p

Bowl season is under way this weekend. No Big 12 teams in action. However, there are two Big 12 teams of Christmas future in action tomorrow in what look to be excellent matchups:

Saturday brunch special: Cincinati - Louisville 10:00 am ESPN

Disney primetime broadcast: BYU - SMU 6:30 pm ABC

6 or 7th rounders should come back and just take the NIL money.

Felix will be first or second round, Deuce will likely be bottom half of the draft. That's why there's hope he returns to K-State. NIL money might be better than NFL salary for Vaughn, agreed. The Alabama game may have some influence as well, IDK?

0-1 to start with Baylor's loss on Thursday. The 6-6 team bowls count just as much, unfortunately.

Up next ... Okie St - Wisconsin. The Bet Us TV gang cringes at betting on this one with all the opt outs. But they have done their homework on it and are always a good listen:

And, just for fun, here is the Bis 12's own Joel Klatt (CO's QB in the 2005 Tornado Game at the Jack) with a preview:

oSu was really bad without Spencer Sanders, sometimes with him. But Wisconsin doesn't have their starter either. Gundy is 11-5 in bowl games, so there's that. Too bad it's a late start. I'd watch at a normal hour.

Why did Sanders enter the portal? I could have missed the reason but seems odd.

Having played four years, freshman of the year in 2019, he likely wanted a fresh ending plus a bag of cash to go with it. A lot of quality QBs in he portal primarily for those two reasons, methinks. Hartman leaves Wake, why? Well, likely to play it out at Notre Dame. Sanders probably to get a payday.
