Just trying to help out.:smile:I've never went to the big 12 tournament but I'm thinking about it this year. A few questions.
Best way to get tickets? Cash
Best place to stay? Motel
Anything else I'm missing? Beer & Food
I assume Kelly's is the best bar to go to.
-- Definitely go to Gates BBQ or if you want to drive head to Arthur Bryant's (original location). Some of the best BBQ you will ever have.
Hiiii may I help ya?? You'll understand people if you go to Gates...and if you go, don't wait to be asked what you want, you have to yellat them and tell them what you want.
Indeed. You have to be prepared to order before you're physically in the building. The first time I went, I was like 9th or 10th in line and it was somehow already my turn to order -- with my feet just inside the door.
Have to disagree on the ticket thing. My friend and I have gone to about 5 of the last 6 tournaments and you should be able to buy a single ticket for either of the first day's sessions for $20 max. Friday gets a little more pricey and then Saturday is the top end of the price curve. Championship game day is not bad at all because there's only 2 team's fans left. We always bought all-session tickets before we went just for the peace of mind and not having to deal with trying to buy a ticket every single session but that may not have been the cheapest way to go.
I like both Gates and Jack Stack. I just had some Jack Stack last weekend.

Kelley's in Wesport is legendary in KC for being wall to wall Cyclone fans.First thing that comes to my mind anytime someone says K.C. is Gates...Best BBQ i've had in the midwest.
And I've gone to the tournament every year since Rahshon's been here, but I never really find the "hot spot" for Cyclone fans. In Dallas we found one that was all KU fans (and suprisingly they were all very nice!) Is there a certain bar that Clone fans will be at?
