Kansas lost in the quarterfinals in 2017. And still got a #1 seed in the ncaa tourney.

Kansas lost in the semis in 2014. And still got a #2 seed. Beating Iowa State in the semis and then Baylor, who made the finals as the tourney's #7 seed, would not have earned KU a #1 seed that year. We would have had 8 losses if we won the Big 12 tourney. The 4 #1 seeds that year had 0, 2, 4 and 6 losses.

We lost in the semis in 2012 but still got a #2 seed. Maybe we get a #1 seed if we win the tourney but we would have been the #2 seed in the west instead of the #2 seed in the midwest where we played in front of a pro-KU crowd in St Louis to make the Final Four.

So three times in the last 7 yeats we failed to make the semis of the Big 12 and it didnt negatively affect our ncaa status at all. AKA meaningless.

I know you have a narrative you're playing to but the facts do not support it.

Narrative is different when your a top 2 seed.
ISU has single handedly added 2 seeds to tournament in 2 of the 3 years we won.
KU most likely missed out on #1 overall seed several of the years they were knocked out early.

CBS's Palm has K-State as a #4 seed today along with Ku.

Good to see Palm has decided that NET, kenpom, BPI will not be used in determining seeds .
ISU is 13 or 14 in those systems and sagarin, or one if the top two 4 seeds. Iowa is 32-35. Given the ease of accessing metrics and the convergence of them there is zero reason to be more than one seed line off. Then again this pro Big 10 push polling by this idiot is nothing new.

Palm probably, like most national media, sees K-State winning at least a share of the B12 title. Most of the metrics, like NET, are about facts rather than forecasts, thus the anomalies.

How many brackets did you have to comb through to cherry pick the one that has KState over seeded and Iowa State under seeded?

CBS's sports feed comes to my email every morning. It was there yesterday. Frankly, I don't pay much attention to those guys, Lunardi, et al, because this has to play itself out on the court. My earlier Palm comment was a retort only. And I believe he's considered with the ESPN guy to be a leading authority on such things, i.e. not some remote internet site blogger. So, answering your question, I combed nothing.
