Did anyone watch the Big 12 Showcase today?

Joel Klatt predicts us to win 4 games and be a spoiler for Baylor or Colorado. He's also predicting Colorado to go bowling. He is however their former quarterback.

Spoiler...for...Baylor....Oh, how far we have fallen...I think 4 games is our minimum (yes I realize we have only won 5 games in the last TWO seasons..).

I think we will win 5 games. I think we will win all 4 non-conference games and beat Colorado. We lost to Colorado by a yard last year on the road. I think we should be able to pull this one off at home.

I would hope so.

It would seem that the 4 non-conferance games are at the very least winnable. Whether or not that happens is really up in the air, but we have a chance in all of them.

When you're at the bottom, you don't have far to fall. Seriously though, who should really feel bad about their precipitous fall is A&M. They are picked to finish behind Baylor and they already finished behind them last year. This for a proud program like A&M that packs 90,000 people into their stadium every Saturday.

I think we've only started our season 4-0 like two times in the history of the program. Why would you feel we are going to do it this year? Don't get me wrong, I'd love it, but won't predict it.

Missed it. Is there a way to know when these kind of things are on. I guess you just take hit or miss.

I think the Big 12 sorely needs its own network like the Big 10 and SEC have. However, it is my understanding from an article I read in the Omaha World Herald today that teams like Nebbie and Texas are considering there own exclusive network. ISU can't afford that on their own - we lose out again. ISU coverage is hit or miss at the most. Sucks.

I looked it up: 1978, 1980 (5-0), and 2000. Lots more 3-0s. I'd be very happy with 3-1, as that means we either ended the longest road losing streak or beat the Hawks. If we take care of both of those and drop one to NDSU or Army, I may be concerned...

I just looked up Big 12 Showcase on DirecTV - next showing is Ch. 671, FSMW, 7/31, 2:30p - 3:00p. It's on 5-6 times in the next week, so you should be able to find it

We're going 5-0. Why would you feel we aren't?

I still think there is no way ISU doesn't finish ahead of KSU. I really think they are going to be terrible this year they have no ground game returning Freeman was their leading rusher last year. They are also going to be starting a quaterback that was given a greyshirt he wasn't even given a scholarship so they will be really hurting at QB. Plus the QB is more of a pocket passer and synder likes moblie QB's in his offense.

Everyone talks about how Synder is back but he did nothing the last 3 years he was at KSU. Nothing about their team seems good and their defense last year was just as bad as ISU's.

I think we finish right at 4 wins. Wouldn't be shocked to win 3, 5 or 6 though.

Great Minds Think Alike Buddy.....I will be shocked if we aka isu wins more than 2 conference games.....

Four wins sounds just about rite to me ...two wins in the non conference and two wins in the conference....read that wins over baylor and colorado...

I will go to the flaming gates of hell for coach paul rhoads ....Get on the bandwagon boys cause its gonna be a helluva ride....

100% agree, exactly my sentiments. We're 4-0 going into the KSU game, Cyclone fans are jacked and pack Arrowhead and we win.

Only two wins in non-conf? I assume you're thinking NDSU and Army. We will win at Kent and as for Iowa; I see no good reason why the home team doesn't continue to hold serve. I think we probably max out at three conf wins; KSU, Baylor, maybe CU. Baylor has OU right before us which can't be a bad thing.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I'm not even sure we go 3-1 non-conference. I think we have a chance to win all of them just like last year, but I'm not going to say anything definite.
