Can wait for the day that Ole Miss has to use all their budget just to bribe players to come play for them. Hey, well only win 2 games, but you get money.
Hey, it's a job. Guys used to play for those schools for just a scholarship.

Now I get what you’re saying. Like for example, if the right mix of teams that say are culturally similar, have longstanding shared rivals, and are geographically near each other? That would be an amazing. I wonder if TV networks would pay for that?
Well today that is a no. But I assume there will be enough that become disenfranchised with how things are going and what will become of their position, that they may force the networks in a new (lol old) direction.

Agreed. And some say, F this the money isn't good enough. And eventually the companies that regularly have people saying F this, well eventually they find themselves spiraling.

I can not think of many companies with the culture of "We pay great but our results are ****, join us!"

I know. You act like things have never gone full circle. And college sports will again too.

Hey everyone who needs offices, we can WFH! This is great, we're never working from offices again. Less than 3 years later.

I mean this will be Texas 3rd conference in my lifetime. But were supposed to think their good now, set in stone forever?

All this to say, do not sell part of the conference today. You have no idea what you are giving up in 3 to 5 to 10 years.

Had the Pac taken the streaming deal they'd likely still exist. But ego. The egos of the SEC and Big 10 will result in change (relatively) soon.

We could be the

Smartwool 16

And the jerseys and all that could be Smartwool. Or at least the socks.

If Big Ten payouts pull ahead of SEC start the clock for Texas next move. Wouldn’t even need to be radically more.

Or watch for the rebirth of the Shorthorn Network when Texas plays Vanderbilt.
